Company Milestones

The entrepreneurs Willem Keyer and Henck Ness formed a partnership in the Netherlands with the aim of providing engineering services to the chemical process industry. The company is named after its founders: ”KEYer NESs“and started in 1949.

By the entrepreneurial ship of the founders, Keynes was brought into a merge with Matthew Hall in 1974 (MHK) . In this period the company built up multidisciplinary engineering knowledge and an influx of know how guided to more industrial projects in the process industry.

Amec acquired MHK in 1993 and the company introduced new Project management strategies for the overall management of the projects including Procurement- and Construction management. In 1997 Amec introduced a new Dutch shareholder by the Koop Group and the company changed their name into KH Engineering in the Market since the early year of the new twentieth decade. The introduction to a new market telecommunication was added and the focus regained on to the existing industrial process related markets in the Benelux region.

In 2003 KH Engineering entered into a corporation with the Ludan Group which led to a formal acquisition in 2005. Ludan introduced KH to EPC or Turnkey philosophies.

In parallel KH built up their operating offices network in the Benelux by autonomous growth and the acquisition of 3 companies. EPC and Turnkey projects are materialized abroad.

The offices in Antwerp, Amsterdam and Schiedam are organized to support the local industry with a complete EPCM service package. The development and launching of specialized service packages accelerates the Industrial Projects. Special service packages like iNVESTIMATE© for Conceptual and project budgeting or Balance of Plant organization of services for Projects with a high OEM scope are  a few examples of a extensive portfolio.

In 2011 iSafety was launched to the market to deliver a full compliance service as one integrated approach and since 2012 Competence management anchors the development and technologies in the company.
